Exhibitions since 1994 in Lower Austria and Vienna To me abstract
painting has always meant freedom for both the observer and myself.
It contains the power of individuality. The message is open-ended,
meaning turns into suggestion. Abstract worlds of imagery tell a new
story every day. After years of abstract painting, both in
acrylic and oil, where I was striving towards the idea of an absolute
harmony of colours, I have recently switched to a more figurative way
of working. And here it is mainly the nude and the portrait in a wide
variety of styles that have become ever more important to me and that
have dominated my work over the past years. I have also taken up
photography as way of expressing myself artistically, and in contrast
to my other work, this path has lead me partially back to abstraction
again. After almost 30 years of reflecting on the perception of my
environment, I can still feel the same curiosity that I had at my first
stroke of the brush
